The Maintenance Services Technician is tasked with performing essential maintenance and repair functions for various equipment and facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, basic carpentry, heating and cooling units, and other building infrastructure.
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect and assess equipment or machines needing repairs.
- Troubleshoot issues to determine the necessary repair actions.
- Plan repair work by consulting building blueprints or equipment manuals when necessary.
- Conduct general repairs that do not require specialized expertise, such as drywall fixes, painting, and repairing doors and fixtures.
- Execute routine maintenance on building systems.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized facility.
- Order supplies and materials needed for repair and maintenance tasks.
- Report safety concerns related to clients and staff to the Director of Operations and other management.
- Adhere to the Surfpoint Recovery dress code.
- Adjust daily assignments based on the skills of staff and operational needs.
- Manage time effectively to take on additional tasks assigned by supervisors as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with routine power tools and cleaning equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality.
- Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of safety procedures in the workplace.
- Energetic, proactive, and efficient in task execution.
