The Facilities Technician is responsible for carrying out general maintenance and repair tasks for assigned equipment and facilities. This includes plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, heating and cooling systems, and other building infrastructure.
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (11:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and identify equipment or machinery that requires repair.
- Troubleshoot issues to ascertain necessary repairs.
- Plan repair activities using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
- Execute general repairs that do not require specialized skills, such as fixing drywall, painting, and repairing doors or other fixtures.
- Conduct routine maintenance on building systems.
- Clean and help maintain the facilities.
- Order supplies and materials required for repairs and maintenance.
- Communicate any safety concerns related to clients and staff to the Director of Operations and other management personnel.
- Adhere to the Surfpoint Recovery dress code.
- Complete and adjust daily tasks based on staff capabilities and operational standards.
- Manage time effectively to carry out additional duties assigned by supervisors as per facility needs.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of common power tools and cleaning equipment.
- Strong prioritization and time management abilities.
- Capability to work efficiently without compromising quality.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Understanding of workplace safety protocols.
- Proactive, energetic, and efficient.
