Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner

We are in search of a compassionate Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner with a Suboxone waiver to join our clinical team. The role involves providing care for adults with substance use disorders and mental health challenges, performing comprehensive assessments, and guiding patients through detox and rehabilitation.

Main Duties:

• Perform thorough patient evaluations, collecting relevant medical history and conducting health assessments.
• Diagnose and identify patient needs based on clinical evidence and history.
• Conduct urine and blood tests, along with glucose monitoring, as part of patient care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the attending physician, ensuring the plan meets patient needs.
• Implement treatment plans, conducting necessary diagnostic tests and prescribing medications while providing patient education.
• Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and adjust care plans as needed to meet mental health goals.
• Provide educational resources that empower patients to make informed decisions about their health and treatment options.
• Ensure a safe and supportive environment while advocating for patients' well-being.
• Work closely with other professionals to deliver comprehensive and collaborative healthcare.
• Maintain confidential, accurate medical records of patient care.

Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Nursing.
• Valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
• Registered NP certification with prescription-writing privileges.
• DEA license and compliance with NY Drug and Alcohol Program regulations.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Five years of related experience in the field.
• ANCC certification.
