The Maintenance and Repair Worker is tasked with conducting general maintenance and repair work for designated equipment and facilities. This includes areas such as plumbing, electrical systems, basic carpentry, HVAC systems, and other building systems.
Work Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect equipment and determine what repairs are needed.
- Diagnose issues to identify necessary repairs.
- Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as required.
- Execute general repairs that do not require specialized skills, such as drywall repair, painting, and fixing doors and other fixtures.
- Carry out routine maintenance on various building systems.
- Assist with the cleaning and upkeep of the facilities.
- Order necessary supplies and materials for maintenance tasks.
- Report any safety concerns regarding clients and staff to the Director of Operations and other management personnel.
- Follow the dress code established by Surfpoint Recovery.
- Complete and adjust daily assignments based on operational needs and staff capabilities.
- Manage time effectively to perform additional duties as directed by supervisors based on facility needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of common power tools and cleaning equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work efficiently without sacrificing quality.
- Organized and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with workplace safety procedures.
- Proactive, energetic, and efficient in task execution.
