We are a dedicated organization committed to providing care and treatment for individuals experiencing substance and alcohol use disorders. Our patients are at the heart of what we do, and we prioritize delivering high-quality care. Our medical facility offers comprehensive services, including detoxification, medication-assisted treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery therapy. We are currently seeking Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to enhance our team!

The LVN is responsible for delivering nursing care tailored to each patient's individual needs, following both dependent and independent nursing protocols in line with established standards under the direction of a registered nurse.

Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Administer medications safely and in accordance with physician orders.
• Educate patients about their medications, documenting their understanding and any compliance issues; notify a registered nurse or physician if abnormalities arise.
• Log all patient activities, including admissions, discharges, and emergency room visits, and alert nursing or medical staff to any irregularities.
• Track the detoxification process and document patient responses, notifying nursing or medical personnel of any concerns.
• Record treatment interventions and the patient's responses, and report any abnormalities to the registered nurse or physician.
• Communicate effectively with the treatment team regarding the patient's progress, notifying a registered nurse or physician of any issues.
• Perform withdrawal assessments and monitor vital signs as indicated by the treatment plan.
• Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives, collecting data on Census, Incident Reports, and Medication Event Report Forms, and report any abnormalities to nursing or medical staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing school.
• Current NY State Board of Nursing License and Registration.
• Current certifications in CPR and BLS.
• At least two years of nursing experience.
• Preferred experience in addiction treatment.
