Building Maintenance Worker

The Building Maintenance Worker is tasked with carrying out general maintenance and repair duties for designated equipment and facilities, which includes plumbing, electrical systems, basic carpentry, HVAC systems, and various building infrastructures.

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Inspect and determine equipment or machinery that requires repairs.
• Diagnose issues to identify required repairs.
• Plan repair work by referring to building blueprints or equipment manuals when necessary.
• Perform general repairs that do not necessitate specialized skills, such as repairing drywall, painting, and fixing doors or other building features.
• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems.
• Keep the facilities clean and well-maintained.
• Order necessary supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
• Communicate any client or staff safety concerns to the Director of Operations and other management personnel.
• Comply with the Surfpoint Recovery dress code.
• Complete and adjust daily tasks based on the skills of the staff and operational standards.
• Adapt time management to fulfill additional duties assigned by supervisors in response to facility needs.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of common power tools and cleaning equipment.
• Strong skills in prioritization and time management.
• Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
• Organized and capable of handling multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices.
• Proactive, energetic, and efficient in performing tasks.
